We continued participation this year by installing a
3D Consortium booth. Five member companies jointly exhibited
at the booth at IVR which was held for three days from
June 25 to 27, 2008 at the East Hall 1 of the Tokyo
Big Sight. We continued providing support for the "3D
Display Fair" during IVR as the 3D Consortium.
As specialized seminars which were simultaneously organized
during the exhibition, Mr. Kouchiro Nagasawa of Nippon
BS Broadcasting Corporation gave a lecture under the
title "Trends of the latest stereoscopic images
and 3D displays". Mr. Kuniaki Izumi, head of administration
for the 3D Consortium gave a lecture under the title
"Challenges of 3D contents and roadmap - Forecast
of the future of stereoscopic images -".
According to the announcement by organizers, 87,679
persons visited IVR over three days including the visitors
of the "design/manufacturing exhibition" and
the "machine element technologies exhibition"
which were simultaneously organized.
