Electronic Imaging 2009

January 18 - 22 , 2009
Electronic Imaging, a scientific meeting specializing in imaging, was organized at the San Jose Convention Center as well this year; the 3D Consortium exhibited with a booth at the exhibition space as in the past.

Summary of organization
* Date: January 18 (Sun) - 22 (Thu), 2009 (Exhibition was held on January 20 and 21)
* Venue: San Jose Convention Center, California, USA.
* Visitors: Around 1,200 persons (estimated value)
During the Electronic Imaging event, several conferences are simultaneously held. One of these conferences is the Stereoscopic Displays and Applications specializing in 3D displays which celebrated its 20th anniversary. During these conferences, panel discussions were held on expansion in terms of business over the announcement of nVidia about its supporting PC games as well as on display technologies. This led to much more active discussions than in the past. In the economic circumstances where many trade shows including CES (Consumer Electronics Show) experienced decrease in their visitors, Electronic Imaging had more visitors than last year (according to organizers) which shows the level of attention in this field.
Two members from the United States, Mark Resources and TDVision, exhibited their products and technologies at the booth of the 3D Consortium.
